A few years ago, I was preparing to participate in a walk against violence and crime sponsored by Reginald Center for Turn Around. I thought I would walk and encourage others to take action to address the escalated gun violence and deaths our city was experiencing. When I was getting ready for the walk, I decided to print the questions on a piece of paper, “If Not You Then Who? & If Not Now Then When?” and pin the paper to my T Shirt. I walked with those questions pinned to my T Shirt.

You see, I had come to a point in my life where I said, I have a voice and I’m going to use it! It’s time for regular people like me, who have been silent to speak!

One of my core beliefs is that ALL of us have a responsibility to do at least one thing to help build a community where we are ALL safe and able to experience individual and corporate successes. I also believe that when we work together, we can achieve our common goals. Each one does whatever he or she has a heart to do, but everybody must do something.

To act on some of my beliefs, I decided that I would build a team to market and sell motivational garb and concepts, starting with T-shirts. My company name, WIIN, Walking In It Now, came to be a statement that we are walking in our purpose Now! We choose to help build community promoting understanding, respect, and honor among our neighbors, everywhere – hope you will join us!
